    About The Bahamas Society for Human Resource Management (BSHRM)

    The Bahamas Society for Human Resource Management (BSHRM) is a national, non-profit organization for human resources and other business professionals. BSHRM is an affiliate of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), the largest body of HR professionals in the world. Our main objective is to provide a forum for HR Professionals to discuss current HR related and business issues and enhance their knowledge and skills in the area of human resources by providing technical assistance and support to the members.

    Monthly meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month.


    To consolidate Human Resources Professionals in a national organization with the aim of promoting the development of the human resources nationally and maintaining high standards of professionalism throughout The Bahamas.


    BSHRM envisions the association to be recognized as the voice and advocate for human resources professionals throughout The Bahamas, with the ability to influence public policy.

    BSHRM Goal

    To increase recognition of BSHRM as a viable advocate for HR professionals in The Bahamas by:

    • Publicizing all major BSHRM events
    • Communicating with the relevant parties on matters concerning key national HR and business issues
    • Writing white papers on the Employment Act and how best to leverage foreign labour in the Bahamas
    • Conducting research on critical employment issues in The Bahamas
    • Partnering with Government agencies to implement strategies and plans of the BSHRM
    • Coordinating educational workshops and seminars that focus on enhancing knowledge and skills of our members.
